RIYADH: Authorities in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday reiterated that donations during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan must be made within the Kingdom through authorized channels and entities, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
A Presidency of State Security spokesperson said the warning came âto ensure the safety of charitable work and grow its income sources, alongside the raised concerns of the possibility of Ramadan being exploited by some entities or individuals for collecting money from citizens and residents under the guise of raising donations.â
