RIYADH: Saudi Arabiaâs Diriyah Co. concluded an architectural design competition for Diriyah mosques, with the participation of a number of talented male and female architects, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday
The Diriyah Mosques Architectural Design Competition aims to showcase their skills and contribute to developing the architectural landscape of Diriyah through their participation in the contest to support local creative talent in Islamic architecture and promote the development of sustainable construction.

RIYADH: Senegalese President Macky Sall on Sunday officially opened the Dakar branch of the International Fair and Museum of the Prophetâs Biography and Islamic Civilization.
Sall told of his happiness at the opening, commending the efforts of the Muslim World League in highlighting Islamic values which are embodied in the event, which uses the latest exhibition techniques.

RIYADH: Islamic scholars highlighted the importance of unity among the faithful at a Ramadan gathering in the holy city of Makkah on Wednesday.
âIslamic Ummah (worldwide Muslim community) is fine,â said Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, secretary-general of the MWL and chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, as he opened the conference titled âGlobal Conference for Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sectsâ.

LONDON: Saudi student clubs in the UK have organized a series of Qurâan recitation competitions during the holy month of Ramadan.
Along with various other activities arranged by the clubs, the competitions are aimed at strengthening spiritual and cultural ties between Saudi scholarship students based in Britain.

RIYADH: Some of the worldâs leading scholars have gathered in Makkah for a conference titled âBuilding Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects.â
The gathering, being held under the patronage of King Salman, and organized by the Muslim World League, began on Sunday evening at a venue near the Grand Mosque.Â
The two-day conference began with a speech by the grand mufti of the Kingdom and president of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh.
