QUETTA, Pakistan: All eight gunmen who attacked Pakistan’s Gwadar port on Wednesday have been killed, said the chief minister of Balochistan province, where the port is located.
“Eight terrorists tried to attack the Gwadar Port Authority complex today. All of them have been neutralized by security forces,” Sarfraz Bugti said in a post on social media platform X.

Angkatan Laut India Cegat Perompak Somalia di Kapal Kargo Ruen

An Indian navy warship has intercepted the hijacked the cargo ship Ruen and demanded the Somali pirates on board surrender, a navy spokesperson said on Saturday.
The pirates who allegedly hijacked the Maltese-flagged bulk cargo vessel on Dec. 14 opened fire on the navy ship in international waters on Friday, the spokesperson said without providing further details.
The navy had called on the pirates to surrender and release the vessel and any civilians they may be holding.

ANKARA: Two civilians have been killed in a Turkish air strike in the mountainous Sheladiz area of northern Iraq’s Duhok province, two Iraqi security sources said on Friday.
Turkiye’s defense ministry said its forces carried out two air strikes in northern Iraq and northern Syria overnight, killing six militants in Iraq and seven in Syria. Its post on social media platform X did not provide further information.

The draft, obtained late Wednesday by The Associated Press, expresses “grave concern over the spreading violence and the catastrophic and deteriorating humanitarian situation, including crisis levels of acute food insecurity, particularly in Darfur.”
