Menteri Inggris Bahas Gaza dengan Ketua Liga Arab dan Menlu Mesir di Kairo

LONDON: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit held talks in Cairo on Thursday with the British minister of state for the Middle East and North Africa, Lord Tariq Ahmad, about the conflict in Gaza.

Aboul Gheit thanked the UK for its “supportive vote” this week in favor of a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Palestinian territory, his spokesperson Gamal Roshdy said.

Para Menteri Arab Temui Pejabat Palestina di Kairo, Bahas Gaza

CAIRO: Arab ministers held talks with a Palestinian official in Cairo on Thursday to discuss efforts to end the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, and were due to meet US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is seeking to secure a ceasefire of at least six weeks.
The ministers met with Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) executive committee general secretary Hussein Al-Sheikh to discuss “efforts to stop the Israeli war against Gaza, the inevitability of achieving a ceasefire, and full access to aid,” the Egyptian foreign ministry’s spokesperson said.

BRUSSELS: The European Union’s rights watchdog raised concern on Tuesday about the bloc’s new 7.4 billion euro ($8.03 billion) agreement with Egypt that includes provisions to curb migration, saying it falls short on human rights safeguards.
The 27-nation EU has sealed similar pacts with Mauritania, Tunisia, Turkiye and other countries since 2016 as it seeks to reduce irregular arrivals. Rights groups have sharply criticized those pacts as ignoring humanitarian law.

Mesir Serukan Israel Cabut Pembatasan Bantuan ke Gaza Melalui Darat

CAIRO: Egypt has urged Israel to remove restrictions and impediments to the process of allowing aid access to Gaza via land ports.

Responding to enquiries about Egypt’s position regarding the arrival of the first aid ship via the maritime corridor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, said Cairo appreciated and welcomed all efforts aimed at alleviating human suffering in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry expressed gratitude to all parties involved in facilitating the arrival of the ship.

Kebakaran Besar Hancurkan Studio Film Arab Bergengsi di Mesir

CAIRO: A fire in Cairo has destroyed one of the Arab world’s most prestigious and oldest film production houses, founded 80 years ago.
Flames overtook the Al-Ahram Studio in Cairo’s Giza district, burning everything inside and spreading to three surrounding buildings, which were evacuated before the blaze reached them.
Residents of neighboring buildings were still sleeping on the ground in nearby streets at dawn on Saturday.
Security sources said that there were no deaths, though some people suffering from smoke inhalation were treated at the scene.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday received a phone call from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during which he extended greetings on the advent of Ramadan.
The crown prince shared greetings to El-Sisi, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Saudi Supreme Court announced on Monday the start of the Muslim holy month.

El-Sisi: Mesir Berupaya Amankan Gencatan Senjata di Gaza

DUBAI: Egypt is seeking to reach a deal for a ceasefire in Gaza, increase entry of aid and to allow displaced people in the south of the enclave to move to the north, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said on Friday.
El-Sisi also warned against the danger of an Israeli incursion into the city of Rafah, where an estimated 1.5 million people have sought shelter next to Gaza’s border with Egypt.
Aid officials have warned of looming famine in the coastal enclave.
