Spanyol, Irlandia, Malta dan Slovenia Setuju untuk Mengupayakan Tercapainya Pengakuan Negara Palestina

MADRID: Spain has agreed with the leaders of Ireland, Malta and Slovenia to take the first steps toward recognizing a Palestinian state, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said on Friday following a meeting of the European Council in Brussels.
Speaking for Spain, Sanchez expected the recognition to happen during the current four-year legislature that began last year.
He told reporters the agreement was reached after meeting with his Irish, Maltese and Slovenian counterparts on the sidelines of the Council gathering on Friday morning.

Gaza City, Palestinian Territories: The first aid vessel heading to the besieged Gaza Strip via a new maritime corridor was visible Friday off the coast of the war-ravaged territory, an AFP journalist said.
AFP video footage and photographs showed the Open Arms, which the Spanish charity operating it says is carrying 200 tonnes of food for Gazans threatened with famine after more than five months of war.

AMMAN: Jordan’s King Abdullah met Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares on Wednesday in Amman, with their discussions focusing on reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, Jordan News Agency reported.

During the meeting, attended by Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, King Abdullah emphasized the urgent need to halt the conflict in Gaza, protect civilians and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid.

Tujuh Orang Dikhawatirkan Tewas di Kapal Migran di Lepas Pantai Kepulauan Canary Spanyol

ARGUINEGUIN, Spain: Two people died and five are feared dead after they attempted to reach Spain’s Canary Islands on a boat with migrants on board, authorities said on Tuesday.
The pirogue — a type of dugout canoe — was sighted on Monday evening at around 8 p.m. (2000 GMT) by a merchant vessel which alerted authorities on the island of Gran Canaria.
Rescue services deployed helicopters to evacuate the injured and a ship to tow the pirogue to the Gran Canaria port of Arguineguin, 76 nautical miles (140 km) to the north, where they were met by Red Cross staff and police.

Perdana Menteri Spanyol Sebut Akan Usulkan Agar Parlemen Akui Negara Palestina

BILBAO, Spain: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said Saturday that he will propose that Spain’s parliament recognizes a Palestinian state.

“I will propose granting Spain’s recognition to the Palestinian state,” Sánchez said. “I do this out of moral conviction, for a just cause and because it is the only way that the two states, Israel and Palestine, can live together in peace.”
