PBB akan Lakukan Pemungutan Suara mengenai Resolusi yang Tuntut Gencatan Senjata di Gaza selama Bulan Suci Ramadhan [1445 H] Ini

UNITED NATIONS: The UN Security Council is set to vote Monday on a resolution demanding an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The vote comes after Russia and China vetoed a US-sponsored resolution Friday that would have supported “an immediate and sustained ceasefire” in the Israeli-Hamas conflict.
The United States warned that the resolution to be voted on Monday morning could hurt negotiations to halt hostilities by the US, Egypt and Qatar, raising the possibility of another veto, this time by the Americans.

Gaza Strip: The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees has said that Israel had definitively barred it from making aid deliveries in northern Gaza, where the threat of famine is highest.
“Despite the tragedy unfolding under our watch, the Israeli Authorities informed the UN that they will no longer approve any @UNRWA food convoys to the north,” Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the agency, said Sunday on X.
“This is outrageous & makes it intentional to obstruct lifesaving assistance during a man made famine.”

PM Lebanon Serukan Tekanan terhadap Israel untuk Hentikan Serang Wilayah Selatan setelah Pemungutan Suara PBB

BEIRUT: Lebanon’s caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati, said on Monday that countries should pressure Israel to stop attacking Lebanon following a UN Security Council decision calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The Israeli military and Lebanese armed group Hezbollah have been trading fire across the southern Lebanese border in parallel with the Gaza war. Hezbollah did not immediately comment on the UN vote.

CAIRO: The head of the United Nations has praised Egypt for its efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and its commitment to keeping the Rafah border crossing open since the start of the conflict.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo on Sunday.

Sekjen PBB “Sangat Terganggu” dengan Situasi di Rafah

RAFAH: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres visited Egypt’s border with the Gazan city of Rafah on Saturday to reiterate pleas for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. 

His visit comes after the UN Security Council’s failure to pass a resolution to halt the Israeli offensive on Gaza, which is now entering its sixth month with a death toll nearing 32,000. 

Speaking at the border, he urged the world to remind Gazans they are not alone.

PBB Minta Dana 4 Miliar Dollar AS untuk Perangi Krisis Pangan di Suriah

JEDDAH: The UN appealed on Friday for more than $4 billion in humanitarian assistance to combat food insecurity in Syria.

UN humanitarian coordinator Adam Abdelmoula warned that funding was almost non-existent and lack of support would push more Syrians to emigrate.

“At least 12.9 million people are food insecure across the country,” he said. Inaction would mean at least 2.5 million children would lose the chance to return to school, and about 2.3 million women of reproductive age may “lose access to vital reproductive and maternal health care.”

The United States, Israel’s main ally and military backer, had put forward a resolution mentioning “the imperative of an immediate and sustained ceasefire” and condemning the October 7 attack by Hamas.

NEW YORK: Russia and China on Friday vetoed a US-led draft resolution at the Security Council on Gaza, with Moscow accusing Washington of a “hypocritical spectacle” that does not pressure Israel.

The US, Israel’s main ally which has vetoed previous ceasefire calls, put forward the resolution which for the first time would have supported “the imperative of an immediate and sustained ceasefire” and condemned the October 7 attack by Hamas.
